A seasoned educationist with immense experience in capacity building and a trainer of trainer’s expert in  hybrid platform, a reputable Mentor and an Innovation Coach, engaged in mentoring youth in smart and sustainable business ventures. Prof Otieno’s area of expertise is educational planning and policy studies research in which she earned a PhD. Mary has mentored more than 1,000 students and early-stage entrepreneurs through programs at the Chandaria Business Innovation and Incubation Centre, Total Energies, KCB Foundation, and the National Youth Innovators Entrepreneurship Training Programme. Her mentorship covers business planning, pitching, financial literacy, market linkages, and building sustainable enterprises.

She brings specialized expertise in coaching start-ups and small businesses to structure operations, understand regulatory requirements, and build investor readiness. Through structured mentorship, she has guided hundreds of entrepreneurs to formalize businesses, develop customer-focused models, and access funding.

Mary’s approach combines academic insight with hands-on experience in mentoring youth and women-led businesses.
