Informal Settlements Planning & Resettlement Consultancy – Ler Consult.
At Ler Consult, we are proud to have successfully executed a multi-county project involving the planning, surveying, and preparation of Resettlement Action Plans (RAPs) for informal settlements across Nairobi, Nakuru, and Mombasa counties in Kenya. This project was commissioned by the Ministry of Infrastructure, Transport, Public Works, Housing and Urban Development under the State Department for Housing and Urban Development.
Our role as the sole consultant encompassed an end-to-end process — from policy and legal reviews to stakeholder engagement, socio-economic surveys, environmental and social impact screenings, land use planning, and cadastral surveying. The project aimed to support tenure regularization, land use planning, and social safeguards for project-affected persons in informal settlements.
This engagement demonstrates our capacity and commitment to delivering sustainable and inclusive urban planning solutions that address Kenya’s growing informal settlement challenges.
