Informal Settlements Planning and Survey Project – Nyeri County – Ler Consult.

At Ler Consult, we were honored to serve as the sole consultant for the Planning and Surveying of Selected Informal Settlements in Cluster 5 of Nyeri County, under the commission of the Ministry of Infrastructure, Transport, Public Works, Housing and Urban Development, through the State Department for Housing and Urban Development.

Executed between June 2017 and May 2018, the project involved a comprehensive suite of technical and social deliverables, including tenure regularization studies, cadastral surveying, socio-economic mapping, and preparation of Local Physical and Land Use Development Plans. The project also delivered Environmental and Social Impact screenings, Resettlement Action Plans, and supported the issuance of title documents for project beneficiaries.

This engagement reflects our commitment to promoting inclusive urban development, improved land tenure security, and professional planning and surveying services in Kenya’s informal settlements.
